Understand and manage Test Delivery of OSS/NMS product and solutions
Perform System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Test Management, Operations Readiness Test Management.
Preparation and Execution of the Test Strategy, effort estimation and Plan for Network/Infrastructure and OSS Projects.
Manage & Track Defects using Industry Standard Tools
Create & maintain high-quality Documentation of Test Processes & Test artefacts
Review and continuously optimize the Testing processes, tools, Timelines and skill levels within the Testing team
Co-ordinate and manage engagements with Service Delivery, Operations team and vendor management for UAT/ORT.
Development of automation tools and scripts for Testing
Manage Communications and Reporting Testing activities to key stakeholders like Program Mangers, Business Sponsors and Development Leads
To undertake all system test related activities in support of the business requirements for the provision of new and updated systems.
To undertake functional, integration testing and regression test to ensure appropriate test coverage.
To undertake Quality Assurance checks to ensure that only fit-for-purpose code is delivered into test environments
To attend workshops comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test-dependent activities such as requirement verification and prioritisation, test scenario identification and general matters
To ensure that test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical priorities and are approved by appropriate stakeholders. Scope is to cover test cycle contents and regression packs.
To create allocated test scripts, monitor test execution and ensure results are recorded.
To co-ordinate re-testing of defects and issues.
To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts and other testing artifacts.
To take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.
To support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.
To carry out other tasks as agreed with the Test Manager

Desired Candidate Profile
What you will need to succeed:
7 to 10 years technical/ experience in telecoms or related industry. Strong engineering methodologies, experience and discipline, including networks, applications, system design, provisioning, testing (Manual/Automation)
Experience in Optical, Ethernet, IP, MPLS Technology
Expertise in managing testing for EMS, NMS, OSS Products with strong knowledge of FCAPS, SNMP, Syslog etc
Hands on experience and knowledge of OEM and EMS/NMS systems in one or more of the below
Original Equipment Manufacturers, EMS/NMS
Accedian, Cyan Blue, Planet
Performance Mgmt Tools like InfoVista
Exposure to technologies Cloud computing, Storage and operating systems
Working knowledge of the Unix, Linux, Solaris, SQL, Oracle 11G
Exposure to Defect Management Tool (preferably ALM)
System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing Management, Operations Readiness Testing Management.
Scripting experience including Shell / Perl
High focus on project and organization goals
BE/B.Tech/MCA from reputed University
Good communicator, both oral and written, able to articulate issues and defects in a calm manner
Ability to work as part of a team across different countries;
Ability to meet deadlines;
Ability to resolve all issues within own control and wisdom to escalate the other issues in a timely manner
